Insurance companies doing business in Missouri will soon face tighter oversight thanks to a new law that takes effect on August 28, 2010. The Missouri Department of Insurance explains that the new law will give the state's insurance regulators the power to step in sooner when an insurance company is in enough financial trouble that it may not be able to pay it's customers' claims.
